Counselling

Counsellor talking with a client during a session

Life is a journey to be lived with potholes along the way, which need to be managed, and every minute counts to get back on track!

Counselling can help to manage/manoeuvre the challenges of life, on a one-to-one basis in a safe, welcoming, and trusting environment. Care, compassion, and empathy are at the heart of counselling, which enables trust to be built between the therapist and client and empower the client to make lasting positive change in their life.

Counselling can support clients to flourish and live the life they want to lead, through change and transformation.

Counselling can help with the challenges of life which we face in this multicultural city of Hong Kong including stress, anxiety, grief, loss, life transitions, relationships, addiction, eating disorders, body image, to name but a few.

Clients meet on a one-to-one basis with the counsellor, who listens and will use different techniques such Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Positive Psychology and mindfulness to help the clients make the personal change that will enable them to flourish.

How Counselling Can Support You

Sometimes the most important first step is having someone who is there to listen. Counselling offers a safe, confidential space to talk through what you’re experiencing, understand patterns, and work towards healthier ways of coping.

At OCHK, Catherine Graham provides counselling support with special interests in eating disorders and body image issues. Her approach is compassionate, professional and tailored to the individual, helping clients feel heard, supported and understood.
