Our Vision / Mission

Our vision is to build a team with the best osteopaths and complementary therapists. We aim to continuously nurture and develops their skills, in order to provide high quality patient-centred healthcare.

Our mission is to create change in peoples lives. A change that leads them to become healthier and happier versions of themselves.

Each patient is an individual with a life story. We use that story, and seek ways to improve their function and quality of lives in the best way for them. We’ll provide skilled, dedicated practitioners that offer a high standard of care you can trust.

Why choose us?

We want the same as you – for you to get better, feel better and move better. Our motivation comes from helping people get back to their lives and function in the best possible way.

We don’t just want to treat the symptoms. We try to understand the root cause(s) of your problem and find a way to create long term change.

OCHK aims to attract the best therapists then nurture and develop their skill set. Our team works together to provide the best possible outcomes.

The majority of our patients come from word of mouth recommendation. We do very little advertising as our patients appreciate our approach so much they have to tell their friends and family. Doctors and other health professionals also refer patients to us. That tells us we’re doing something right but we don’t just presume that’s the case. Throughout the treatment course our therapists make sure you feel you’re being listened to and are receiving the best care possible. We can’t always fix everything, so we often refer or collaborate with other great therapists and treatment centres in Hong Kong.

Convenient location with easy access – we’re just a few minutes walk from Central MTR station, and a few minutes from IFC and Exchange Square using the footbridge and elevator.

We’re a friendly and welcoming clinic. We want you to feel relaxed and comfortable during your experience. We believe that the environment and atmosphere of the therapy space has a big influence on the healing and recovery process. If you’re not in a space you feel comfortable, then you hold onto tension that can interfere with the treatment process. We’re committed to getting you more mobile and healthier, in a quick, efficient way. We believe the friendly relaxed approach makes the experience more enjoyable and effective.

Frequently Asked Question

Osteopathy is a form of hands on treatment that aims to restore alignment, balance and function to the body. It uses a wide range of manual techniques, tailored to suit the individual's needs.

Osteopaths have extensive training to be able to treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions at all ages. The variety in our technique approaches means we can choose the best approach whether the patient is young or old, inactive or an athlete.

Joint manipulations or HVT techniques are one of the many treatment approaches osteopaths use. When a joint releases, sometimes an audible pop is heard. This technique is often used, but there are many other treatment approaches available if you don’t feel comfortable with this, or it’s not appropriate for your condition.

Our aim is to gently restore balance to the body with as little discomfort as possible. Sometimes the painful area and surrounding parts may be tender to touch and some discomfort may be felt. If your muscles are guarding because of the pain then the treatment will be less effective so your comfort is our priority.

When we rebalance the body or get some areas moving that haven’t moved for a while, there can often be some fatigue or discomfort for 24-48 hours after. This is normal and often a good sign of treatment response.

Each case varies and depends on your history and presenting complaint. Most people see noticeable changes after 2-6 sessions but it may take more treatments to resolve your issue.

Many insurance providers now accept osteopathy for many conditions. Check with your policy provider for more details.
